 I get an exceptions report for the 4000 D Relay when importing into HyTek. I have the DM distance set to 1600M in HyTek. Have tired changing the txt file by replacing 4000D with 1600D, but still get the same exceptions report

Joe,

I believe the site expects the DMR to be 4000m in distance.  What individual distances are you running in your DMR?

Q: How should I configure relay races?

For relay events, you need to enter the total distance of the race, for HyTek to interface with Athletic.net.

Relay events that Athletic.net currently supports: Event = Meters  (Let us know if you would like to see additional relays)
4x100m = 400
4x200m = 800
4x400m = 1600
4x800m = 3200
Sprint Medley = 800
Distance Medley = 4000
Boys Shuttle Hurdles = 440
Girls Shuttle Hurdles = 400

Joe,

Are you actually thinking of the Sprint Medley - 400, 200, 200, 800 or 200, 200, 400, 800 = 1600M? Which is by the way the only outdoor Sprint Medley distance listed in the 2008 USATF rule book, see page 161 (PDF file page 177), and which anyone who wants to can download for free.

Blessings,

Andy
