I am a site supporter at the HS level, and use my FinishLynx system for our MS meets.  I am currently helping our MS coach get things set up on athletic.net and we have a couple of questions.

1.  In our MS league, both boys and girls run a 4x200, but it doesn't show as a boys event option

2.  In our MS league, 7th grade and 8th grade events are run seperately, basically different divisions.  Do we need to call one of them varsity, and one JV to keep them seperated?

Jamie,

1.  Under the 'Other' category for events, there is a 4x200 event.

2.  Correct, the best way to keep them seperate would be to make one V and the other JV.

In regards to #2, keeping 7th and 8th grade separate as V and JV: Can I sort V from JV marks? I am looking for a way to sort my athletes by grade AND event. I would like to be able to look at V marks separately from JV marks. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hayley,

Hey, sorry we didn't get back to you sooner on this.  In a meet, your results will be sorted by JV/Varsity/FS, but in your own schools reports, they will not be.  There is a possibility that we will add this ability in the future.

Last spring we wanted to modify our MS track event lists so that they represented all that we run locally (complicated by the fact that 2 leagues are quite different).

Probably got buried in the surge of other things to do at your end.

Are you ready to do that now? I`ll resupply the list.

Bruce,

At this point the system only allows for custom event lists for a whole region (in your case: Overseas).  So the system does not allow for individual leagues to have different event lists.

You can go ahead and post them though, so that we have them when we are able to handle them.

Thanks!

Thanks. Since only 2 leagues in our region (Guam and Tokyo) are using the middle school site, if we conflate the two lists, then both leagues will be able to see their results, some of which would be combined and some of which would not be. Much like we did in high school.

Do  you want me to submit the list here on the forum, or in a direct email?

This list would allow Overseas middle school leagues to see their results even where they do not overlap.  Order of events is different in each league, so the order here is by distance and kind.
