Hey Guys -
Love everything you are doing. Is there a way to have a hypothetical track meet on here like you do for XC?
If possible, I think it'd be a great added feature.

Mark,
Definitely a cool idea, and we have considered it.
However, Track & Field is much more complex than Cross Country, and a hypothetical meet would need someone to design a procedural algorithm to determine which events athletes compete in. If someone came up with a list of steps to generate the meet entries, scoring it would be possible.
Until a solution is generated, (one that does not require human intelligence) it is not a practical proposition. We're not saying it is not possible, just not priority at this time.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Back to XC, now that we have lots of data, why not play with it.How about a hypothetical meet page in which one could specify the distance, and the other teams (eg enter team numbers for any teams that might be of interest)- especially other teams not in one`s own league, or state? Alternatively, perhaps specify a course that you might have had in common but ran on at different times?
Why not even make any of the above diachronic and cross into previous years? eg, A hypothetical meet between your own team on your home course over the last 3 (or 10!) years, etc.
Another idea: in the present performance lists, we get year summaries, but we lose a bit of the sense of a season`s progression. Is there some way to build a series of lists that are time-constrained - eg girls 5000 in 3 columns: September times, October times, November times. Maybe even a hypothetical meet based on date: eg September race based on September times, October race, etc.
just for fun
Bruce
I don't think this is already implemented. But what if we could just list the top ten for two schools of our choosing with the athletes intermixed. Then you would be able to print and score it on your own. I know there is the highlighting option, but this would be a cleaner solution to do a form chart for a dual meet.

Here's an idea a local coach proposed to me.
Start with a Top X report. Eventually have a way to select which schools to put in the report?Next to each athlete have a check box to remove them from scoring in that event. ie, 'I know this athlete won't be running the 100m, so I don't want to score them'Above the event the scores for that event are updated after each change.Possibly have a 'move up/move down' option, ie 'What if this athlete runs a faster time'
The coach could then go through each event, and have a running total for the entire meet, as well as for each individual event.
Coaches: does this sound like something that could be useful? Any ideas for changes or improvements?
