I am wanting to upload my roster. I generate my data with leading zeros on freshmen:
FirstTABLastTAB09TAB F
It not only ignores those lines, but doesn't give an error message back to me. I was trying to figure out where my missing athletes were ... and that was the answer.
I am playing with my first EMM file to see how it works.
Is there an easy way for me to assemble entries for another school -- let's assume that they just won't use athletic.net or I want to create them. Is there a format that I can create and easily import without having to download from athletic.net for those schools?
Do I understand correctly that the roster upload worked, but kicked out just the freshmen? Thanks for the heads up!

You probably aren't going to like our solution - tell them to use Athletic.net. At first teams are resistant in new areas, but once they begin using the site they love it. So, by requiring that teams use it for your meet, you give that little extra nudge required to get them to try it out, and then they have no problem after that.
hah, that will work for most of them ... but not for the last few ... you know who they are
ironically (speaking of fictional characters only if ever called to task) the really experienced coaches around here are the most advanced ... they embrace technology ... it is the middle range ones that complain about it

Yes Josh, that is correct. I had twenty three athletes, three were freshmen with 09 (zero and nine) for their grade ... and it just didn't enter them. It didn't say issue with grade on three athletes or have a problem anywhere else.
Next question: I entered a couple of athletes in the wrong place ... two examples:
2008 cross roster -- you will see two Olivia's and two livia's -- I inactivated the two livea's ... but they should just be gone.
2009 cross roster -- one thing I REALLY dislike about your roster uploader is that it doesn't say IN THE UPLOADER what season it is for. So I start on 2008, click a few links and wind up on 2009 -- which is sort of a default apparently and then upload thinking I am still in 2008 ... and then I have a complete roster with the wrong grade and some seniors who graduated -- you will see I set them to no grade and inactivated them ... but I cannot delete them.
If only you can fix it, then feel free to dump the entire 2009 cross roster if that is easiest and I need to lose the two livia's as they are really Olivia's :-)
