We run a track program for our middle school only we only run essentially against ourselves.

We have two levels 5/6 and 7/8.

At the 5/6 level we divide kids into four teams: red, green, white and blue

At the 7/8th level we divide kids into two teams, cougars and falcons ...

How do I handle entries?  Can I sub-designate to groups? How do I reflect results?

School is GR Catholic MS or whatever we call ourselves.

Here is what I would suggest:

Under Meet Registration, you will have a list called 'Manage Home Meet'. Click on the meet that you are working on to go to the Meet Manage page / Host Tools for that meet.

Click Edit Meet Divisions - Then create divisions for 5/6 red, 5/6 green....etc....7/8 cougars & another for 7/8 falcons.

You will then be able to download the entries (using HyTek AB format) with the athletes designated on different teams.  Then, when uploading you will have the option to upload all results to just a 5/6 division and a 7/8 division.  You will need to edit this on the 'Edit Meet Divisions' prior to uploading results.  On the Uploader, you can then match the appropriate divisions to where you want the results posted.

Here is another thread on this: http://cs.athletic.net/forums/p/129/1407.aspx#1407 - It starts about halfway down.

I know your situation is a bit unique since all athletes will be drawn from one team listed on Athletic.net.  Let me know if this doesn't seem to work out.

Perfect.  Track coming soon.  I'll transfer all further thought to that thread as that makes more sense.

Asked a quick question over there on the "unlinking" for scoring.  Not in track mode quite yet.

Not an emergency yet ... but we have red/white/blue/green for 5/6th graders and cougars/falcons for 7-8th graders ... so that would be hytek a, b, c, d method I think :-)
