See this screen -- happened for several teams. I missed the second line in the explanation and so I was confused (again ...).

Yellow means:

Athlete Name - Close athlete match
or if matched to blank athlete - athlete is active in a different sport/season.

So those athletes match a kid from a different season/sport (we only have two sports so far ... but I guess we are keeping our options open) -- so nothing needs to be done?

This was not mentioned in the uploader tuturial video and I was confused until I reread.  I assume they'll simply be reactivated?

Correct, those athletes in yellow (from a previous season) will/can be activated on the Publish tab of the Uploader.

This will be changed when XC Uploader modifications are applied to the Track Uploader.  So, athletes matched up from previous season or sport will simply be listed as a match and there will not be an 'unlink' button or 'X' to remove the match.

The picture above represents a team that you and I would like to see distinguished as having no available athletes to match.  In the track uploader, the only teams that have athletes available for matching are teams that have a drop down menu to the right of the athlete name.

Indeed.  The more I am thinking of it the more I think that possible match teams should be a +, fully matched teams should be an asterisk, and no matches available teams (as above) should be a minus sign.  Wonder if that is easy to pull off.  Then you next big advance will be to make it so that you cannot click publish until you click through the + matches.

I am getting much better at this ... practice and mistakes as you say :-) but now when I see a black team (no matches) I realize that I should double check the team matches because in Michigan I am getting to the point where there should seldom be a not match school.

NEW ISSUE: Something else I noticed in the track uploader (have not used it for a while) that I don't "like" is the fact that when moving from the event screen to the timing screen the next button placement on the prior three or for pages is in a consistent place, but then the next button is below on the timing screen and the FAT button is where the next button was.  Make sense?  I think the next placement should be consistent.

Perhaps I should add that point to the other post.
