Looking at the results of a meet we attended, I notice the TeamResults page opens with Schools attending and order of events default closed, and a new field, team scores default open. Seems appropriate. I like that team score feature.

When I enter results for a meet we hosted,  I can`t seem to figure out how to add the team scores field as well as how to have the other 2 default closed.

The former meet`s results were uploaded from Hytek I think;  ours results are uploaded by hand. Is that the difference?  Also. is there a way non-users of a meet manager can upload results for visiting teams?

Different question - when managing a meet and editing event times, could there be a way to input numeric order rather than clock time order?

The only way to add (and update) team scores is through the result uploader.

If you don't have results in a digital format, you can upload the scores using our custom Athletic.net format, defined here:
http://www.athletic.net/Help/Track/MeetUpload/FileTypes/AthleticNet.aspx

You can find a list of all supported formats on the Help tab of the uploader.

As far as having the other two fields default closed, this occures only when team scores are present.

I'm not sure I understand your question about inputting times in numeric order.  Could you explain further?

Will look more closely at the link - probably could set up a spread sheet to match it. When entering data, are all the Events in the link as self evident at 100m for 100 meters as in the example?

Curious - when entering points when entering results by hand, will these also lead to posting team scores?

As for the question about event order and times, I am trying to order the events without specifying a time; purpose is to produce an order that all can see.  Our meets can vary incredibly in time, and it would not be adviseable to specify a time for each event.  I also wondered if I could accomplish same by using a fake time, such as 9:00  9:05  9:10  9:15 etc.

Yes.  You can use the short event titles we use on the Registration and Result Editor pages.

Points entered in the manual Result Editor will not lead to team scores.  They must be uploaded either in a separate team score block (as mentioned above), or uploaded inline with each result (in the [Score] field for each relay and event).

Would be nice, but it's not at the top of our priority list at the moment.

Yes, it will order on any time, so you could even enter 9:00, 9:01, 9:02.
