I know a coach that is entering his time as FAC when in fact they were hand held because of the conversion that it does when you enter kids for the next meet. He told me that it was easier to do it once then to override the entry. Could there be a feature added that allows the times to be converted but when you enter kids in meets it would allow the hand held times. Most of our meets are hand held so they make more sense in entering the entries. Just a thought. I don't think it is right to change the times just to keep things easier for the coach. Thanks.
The coach definitely should NOT be entering times as FAT if they are hand-held. This skews all comparisons across the site.
We are considering adding in an option to download unconverted times, but I wouldn't expect it this season (if at all).
If the host school is downloading all entries, then converting times doesn't hurt anyone (as they are all converted according to the same standard). That one school is receiving an advantage over all others in the seeding process.
Feel free to refer that coach to us if he has questions on the conversion process.
