We've defined a custom upload format for the Track & Field result uploader.
This format can be used to upload results that aren't already in one of the other accepted formats. In addition, this format can be used to post team scores for any meet.
The format is defined here:http://www.athletic.net/Help/Track/MeetUpload/FileTypes/AthleticNet.aspx
This link can also be found on the help tab of the uploader.
Only include the block you are uploading (example, if results are already posted, and you only want to post scores, only include that block).
Let us know if you have questions about using this format.
I tried to upload the shotput results of a recent meet, using the .csv format, but it comes back as "no results found". Looking at the parse, this is what I get:
E,M,Varsity,SP,1,Gonzalez,Demario,,Tennyson,35'7,10,FinalsE,M,Varsity,SP,2,Maldonado,Pedro,,San Lorenzo,34'7,8,FinalsE,M,Varsity,SP,3,Segundino,Paul,,Mount Eden,34'2,6,FinalsE,M,Varsity,SP,4,Orellang,Gabriel,,Tennyson,31'1,2,FinalsE,F,Varsity,SP,1,Brekke,Ashley,,San Lorenzo,21'11,10,FinalsE,F,Varsity,SP,2,Wilson,Kiani,,Tennyson,19'11,8,FinalsWhat am I doing wrong?
Which meet was this?
Thanks!
Try this
E,Boys,Varsity,400m Hurdles,,Boursiquot,Greg,11;Stoughton,57.9,Final,,
notice that there are 2 more commas after Final
Just used the uploader from Excel form first time. Took some tinkering. Minor task: the column order of the meet download is not the same as the result upload.
Had problems in upload - finally copied the ViewParse window, pasted into text edit, saved as text file - then had success.
Learned not to put the "a" after FAT times because the upload process will automatically do that - so ended up with "aa" after all times. They seem to sort correctly - wonder if there will be side-effects.
One thing I don`t like is the request to publish results without actually being able to see what the results are. Same with the various dialogs about athletes - don`t know which ones are actually being changed or activated or added etc.
Been a great season thanks to athletic.net. Season over. :)

Season not over. Finished the upload a couple days ago Meet=63814. Today I was tidying up a bit - in the upload window, I thought there was an old remnant file of one of my early efforts; so I deleted it (I thought all the data was safely uploaded). Oops. All the results disappeared. I thought after they were published, they were safe.
Does this mean that we must always leave the file in the "2. Upload the result files" section?
And when I reupload, will it override all the subsequent individual corrections that I have made since?
Bruce
Yes, removing a file will delete all results uploaded from that file. This includes the corrections that you have made to the uploaded results.
This change was made about a month ago, to enable a meet host to "undo" an upload when corrections needed to be made in the results. Sorry if this was a pain to discover!
Regarding your request to see which "Existing Results Not Matched" on the Uploader: Yes, this would be nice. So far, on our end, we do not have a solution or way to go about this. Like you mentioned though, relays can add to this number quickly, and any other changes/edits that may have been done on the results by you or another coach.
