I'm managing a XC meet in October that will be scored by adding the places of the best finisher in each grade level. There will be 8 separate races, (4 per gender: frosh, soph, junior, senior). For example, if our Freshman finished 3rd in his race, our sophomore finished 16th in his, our junior finished 10th, and our senior finished 20th, our team would have 49 points.
Is there a way to set up the scoring in your Excel Meet Manager to automatically cull the best finish by team from each race an add those points?
As this is a fairly unique situation, the EMMxc is not setup to score this kind of race directly as is. The EMM is set up so that coaches can add to it, so you are welcome to modify to the program (especially if you have some experience in this).
Overall, it is not that easy to change, but we may be able to help out with some questions that you have if you decide to do this.
