My Bio

The '08-09 school year will mark my 9th year of coaching HS, JH, Elementary & Club Track & Field. This will also be the 3rd school year with my current school, Harvest Christian Academy, in Watauga, TX. In addition, I am coaching my 7th season of HS, JH, Elementary & Club Cross-Country.

I am a USATF Certified Level 1 Coach, due to completion of the classes in Feb., '08. My goal is to have multiple Level 2 Certifications and be a Level 1 Instructor within the next 5 years.

Coached the 2007 TAPPS 3A State CC Girl's Runner-Up, in my first CC season with HCA. It was the highest team finish ever in CC by HCA and the first time I've personally coached a top 4 team at any TAPPS State meet, track or CC.

Over the last 5 Cross-Country seasons, I have coached 55 USATF Junior Olympic CC Region XII qualifiers, 43 USATF JO CC National qualifiers, 2 TAPPS All-State CC athletes, and 1 JO CC All-American. 5 of the JO CC National qualifiers also set personal records at the Nationals in which they raced.

In 8 seasons of track, I've coached 13 different athletes who've won a total of 22 District medals, 3 gold, 9 silver & 10 bronze. Additionally, 13 athletes, including the members of the 2007 TAPPS 3A North Regional runner-up 4x200M boys relay team, have qualified for TAPPS State Track Meet.

Over the last 5 track seasons, I have also coached 12 different TAPPS 2A & 3A North Regional qualifiers, 6 TAPPS 2A & 3A North Regional individual medalists (2 silver, 4 bronze), 4 USATF Region XII Junior Olympic qualifiers, 1 TAPPS 3A North Regional runner-up 4x200M boys relay team, 1 TAAF State qualifier (HJ, 800M & 1600M), 1 USATF Youth National qualifier (shot, disc & javelin) and 1 USATF National JO qualifier (shot, disc & javelin).

Have coached a medal winning track athlete at 4 of the last 5 TAPPS State track meets, 2 golds & 3 silvers. In the 3 years from 04-06, my athletes were a perfect 4 for 4 in medal attempts at State.

Over the last 8 seasons, my track athletes have established 32 Varsity School Records, 34 Junior High School Records and 1 Tarrant County Private Schools Junior High Championship Meet Record.

Have also coached an All-American Youth level thrower. She was the only Youth Girl age group qualifier to be eligible for or attend both USATF Youth Nationals & JOs in all 3 throwing events, shot, disc & javelin, in the summer of '05. She thus competed a total of 6 times at the national level during the summer and earned 3 medals in the process.

Currently a USATF Certified Official in the all of the throws, LJ, HJ, distances & relays. Will be applying for an upgrade to my Certification this year, by requesting National Level Certification.

Have officiated the '05 USATF Masters Weight Pentathlon National Championships, the '06 10th Anniversary Big 12 Championships, the '08 Mountain West Championships, the '07 Michael Johnson Classic, the '08 Dr. Pepper Classic, the last 5 TAPPS State Championships, 3 of the last 4 USATF Region 12 JO Championships as well as numerous local, regional & state championship events for youth, masters and HS athletes.
